About MarKi

Meet Our Founders

Nabil Mardini is a principal member of LAVA (Los Angeles Volleyball Academy) and one of the most decorated two-year college coaches in the country. As Head Coach of the Pierce Women’s Volleyball Program, Nabil saw his 2010, 2011, and 2012 squads win back-to-back-to-back CCCAA California State Championships, and his 2006, 2015, and 2016 squads finish State Runner Ups.
Furthermore, Nabil led his program to winning 15 out of the last 17 Western State Conference Championships (2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017). Additionally, he left a mark on a program that is considered by many to one of the best 2-year programs in the nation. He amassed a record at Pierce of 430-88 Overall (178-20 in the Western State Conference) which includes a 66-game winning streak from September of 2011 to December of 2012 and a 62-game home winning streak from 2002 to 2008.
Ki Yi draws upon 22 seasons of coaching experience as the Director of Saddleback Volleyball Club. At the college level, Ki coached in the Orange Empire Conference at Orange Coast College and Irvine Valley College. Over the years Ki has been instrumental on the growth and success of SVVC. As a head coach, Ki’s teams have won several championships in his twenty two years of coaching. Ki’s staff has earned 15 other Junior Olympic medals for their girls teams while working in his club program.
As a Orange County native Ki has trained several All-County players, Fab 50 players, high school All-Americans, Pac 12 players, Division 1 All-Americans, JO All-Americans, players that have participated in the NCAA Division 1 Final Four, and players that have made the National team roster. In all, Ki has helped place over 200 athletes in four-year volleyball programs.
Outside of club, Ki enjoys outdoor activities like golfing and surfing. Ki is married to April Yi, and has two beautiful children, Christian and Charlotte.
